2012 Results
The 2012 Hockey for Hunger Challenge was our most successful Challenge yet!!
Overall 22 teams and over 330 players raised more than 7,100 cans of food for
the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
The 2012 Hockey for Hunger Champions are
the Ancaster Avalanche Major PeeWee AE team coached by Greg
Coffen!!Thanks You to Greg Coffen for bringing this great cause forward and Melaine Barlow for organizing the
Hockey for Hunger challenge for our team.
Special Thank You to Rikki Gross, what an amazing job behind the scenes, collecting, organizing and keeping us posted on the number of "Cans" and "Cash donations".
We are so blessed to be associated with such great kids, and such amazing parents.
The parents on this team take on charity events with the same vigor and desire as the boys do when facing their competition.

2012 Hockey 4 Hunger Challenge
Proud to be in Ancaster Hockey !
A big Thank you to all the players, coaches, parents and community members who made this year's Hockey for Hunger Challenge an incredible success!
This year we had 22 teams from the AAGHA and AMHL (and even some old timers) participate in the Challenge, collecting over 7,100 food items for the Good Shepherd Food Bank!! An increase of 75% over last year's record donation. Tamarra and I were blown away by your participation and generosity and can't thank you enough for your efforts.
The winning team this year, with a total of 1,074 food items collected, was Greg Coffen's Major PeeWee AE boys team. Greg's team will receive a pizza party courtesy of Cindy Meyer and Dominos Pizza in Ancaster and a power skating session with Kelly Reed of Kelly Reed Hockey and Powerskating!
In second place, with a donation total of 719 food items donated, was Daimon Mussell's Bantam BB girls team! Daimon's team wins an on-ice workout with Olympic Gold Medalist and seven time world champion, Geraldine Heaney!
