2019 – 2020 Programming for Novice and Below
The GMHA, AMHL and the Glancaster Bombers will be changing the Novice and below structure for the 2019 – 2020 season to align with the new OMHA Player Pathway initiative. Major novice (2011 birth year) in the upcoming season will now be offered at AA, A & AE if registration numbers are sufficient.

In the ongoing implementation of the Hockey Canada Player Pathways, the OMHA have created documents to help players and parents understand the upcoming program for Novice and below. Additional information can be found by clicking on the following link:

Some of the key changes are:

> Renaming what had previously been known as “tyke” division, which moving forward will now be known as minor novice

> Major novice (Y.O.B 2011) in the upcoming season will now be offered at the AA, A & AE rep levels if registration #’s allow

> AA, A & AE will be played under the Glancaster Bombers pilot and play out of the either the Tri County or Niagara loop

> Tryouts will be in August/September

> Major novice rep (AA,A & AE) will be run under the pilot banner of the Glancaster Bombers, house league will be run separately in the GMHA & AMHL respectively

We would ask that when registering your child that you indicate “REP” or house league.

We will be posting for coaching applications to secure coaches for all levels of Rep at the major novice division.
