Each season the AMHL is also proud to be a part of the Select hockey program for ages U11 and older. Running the program requires someone in the role of Convener to help facilitate getting the teams up and running and be the point of contact between the coaches and the AMHL board throughout the season.
Responsibilities include:
• Recruiting the head coaches for the Select teams and presenting the selections to the AMHL board for approval Co-ordinating the tryout process with the head coaches
• Ensuring all Select coaches understand the program and its associated OMHA guidelines
• Help facilitate the setting up of teams (coach certifications, rostering, ordering jerseys, team budgets, etc.)
• Resolve any conflicts that arise Be the point of contact between the coaches and the AMHL board throughout the season
• The role requires a one year commitment, at which time it will be re-posted for the following season.
