Major Midgets Win Silverstick
The Major Midgets won the Silver Stick Regional tournament held in Brampton December 28-30, 2107. They now move on the Silver Stick International tournament in Sarnia on January 12-14.

The Avalanche started the tournament slowly with a 5-2 loss to the East Gwillimbury Eagles in their first game but then won four in a row to capture the Silver Stick title.

Championship

The Avalanche lost 5 players to an overnight flu bug between the semis and finals and played the championship game with only 10 skaters. They gutted out a great win and beat East Gwillimbury by a score of 4-2 in the championship final.
