Mite (5 year olds) is the second level of our full Initiation Program for all children looking to learn the game and have fun. From 4 years of age, our players can come out and learn to skate and learn this great game in a fun, encouraging environment.
Mites Program (5 Years of Age)
As a second step on our children’s hockey journey, our Mites program is broken into 4 teams with a full coaching staff. Teams are on the ice 2 hours a week for a 20 week season, with a practice on Saturday mornings (7:00 am or 8:00 am) and game on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. Practice and Games are at Morgan Firestone.
Games are played on a half-ice surface, allowing for better engagement in the play and connection with the action. Basic hockey skills and continued skating development are our primary focus.
For the 2017/2018 season, we are happy to welcome back Leo Paone to the AMHL, offering on-ice support to both our players and coaches to help deliver a highly successful development experience.

Super Saturday on March 3, 2018
The season for Mites will wrap up on Super Saturday, Mar. 3rd, 2018. Games will be followed by an awards ceremony for all teams.
All players and parents are invited to the awards ceremony after the games.
