House League Update (Oct 21, 2020)
The AMHL is pleased to announce that Spring Valley Arena will be opened November 2, 2020. This will allow our house league programs to return to two ice time a week.

We would like to provide you with an update to our 2020/2021 House League program. As we are all aware, and as previously communicated, this season has always been subject to change. We can all use some positive news right now so accordingly, we are pleased to announce that Spring Valley Arena will be opened November 2, 2020! What does this mean for you?

  • Our program will now be able to return to two ice times a week.
  • Practice/game schedules will change starting the first week of November and we plan to have those out this week.
  • The table below outlines the Additional Fee that will be required to bring us back to a regular 2 hour per week program.  Payment is due by November 6th.

We all started this season with mixed expectations on how hockey would look with the various regulations and restrictions imposed by COVID-19 that are our new reality.  Our goal has always been to provide the best hockey program to the children in the local community, while maintaining safety as our top priority.  This positive announcement would not be possible without the support of the City of Hamilton and other community organizations – a big thank you to them.

We are very excited to get back to the level of development that two hours of ice a week provide. However, please remember that as our new reality changes with the COVID-19 situation, additional changes could occur. Regardless of what the pandemic throws at us we know that all members of the AMHL family will work together to ensure a fun, and safe return to hockey for e
veryone.

Thanks,
