....Georgetown and Stoney Creek avenge earlier losses.....
...After thrashing Georgetown 5-1 on their home ice, a few weeks back, the
Raiders got revenge, clipping the Av's 5-4 at Morgan. The Av's only goal in the first two periods came from Tommy "the hammer"
Horan from assist king Evan Caruk, and Cody Brohman. Down 5-1 in the
third a late charge pushed the Raiders to the brink. Liddicoat got things
rolling on the dish from "goose Caruk", and "the Bixer" Bixby. Adam Mahler
added another unassisted with 5 to go in the third and popped his second from
Chambers with two minutes on the clock. With Fullerton pulled the Av's poured it
on but it was not enough to finish the comeback. M.V.D. on the night was Adam
Mahler. Nice effort in the third boys!!
Two nights later the Warriors rolled
into town looking to avenge their early season loss to the Av's. A tight first
period had the game tied 1-1 on a goal from Chambers, assisted by "the G train"
Pasquale and LLoyd. The Warriors broke the game open with four ducks in a row.
The Av's battled back late but could only get to within two for the 5-3 loss.
M.V.D. on the night went to a hard working "G train" Pasquale.
