Regular Season Over
Well we made it to the end of the regular season with amazing results.

I wish to express how proud I am of the season we have had.

As a team, we have had many interesting topics on the bench, some interesting animal names during practice and amazing games where everyone was on the edge of the seats watching.

Just in case not everyone is aware, we ask for two animals when dividing up the kids during practice. I then assign each player an animal and then use that animal to move them around on the ice. We have had the kids yell out animals such as; snakes, sharks, panda, giraffes, monkeys and yes we have even had zombies once (thanks Josh).

We had great success on the scoreboard, but I think the most important measure of a teams success is the attitude of the kids wanting to come back week after week. Everyone has made my job easy and fun throughout the year. They continue to pay attention and want to try out the new things we practice. Their hockey skills/awareness are really showing up during the games as we clear the puck up the boards, push it forward, attack to get the puck, and get a player and the puck in front of the net.

As we enter into the playoffs, the focus will remain on teaching hockey skills during practice, and having fun.

Bring your bells, scarfs and red wing colors out to let the other team just who they are messing with.

Thanks
Coach Dan
