Islanders shut down the Wilds!
WHAT A GAME!!!!!
We were so excited to see how well everyone was playing we barely noticed the score most of the game. Fast action from both teams made this a higher adrenaline rush than when I watched the Sens cream the Pens over the holidays.
I was a little worried after we all filled ourselves with candies and food over the holidays but the kids wanted this game more and showed that heads up passing and good defense is all you need to take home a victory......that and the amazing netminding of Ben Miller! Ben was on fire yesterday as he showed us that he may be replacing Luongo for team Canada's back up!
MVP of the game was Devyn for some quick turn around passing with 1 resulting in Damien getting a break away and one of his hat trip goals. Captain next week will be Sam! Aidan D missed his turn back in November so he will take up nets next week as Ben takes a break and we get ready for the Leafs.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the championship game on March 1st(no time yet) and also the league awards. Our party will be the following day March 2nd from 10:30-12:30(more details later).
