Sabres Ground Flyers 6-5
This week's game saw an exciting shootout between a tough Flyers team and your Boys in Black, the Ancaster Sabres!  Jumping out to an early 6-1 lead, a determined Flyers offense whittled away at the deficit while the Sabres battled to maintain the lead.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the team, and we'll see you next week!

The Sabres blueliners had their work cut out for them this morning and we saw gritty play from Michael, Kyle and Nathan - all of whom did a great job breaking up passes through the slot and keeping the puck in the offensive zone.  Braeden showed true grit, bouncing back from a knee injury to help stave off the Flyers attack late in the third period.  Harry Pollard-Dall  earned the coveted Sabres Hardhat - a weekly award to the hardest-working player on the team. He'll keep the hardhat all week, until our next game.

Congratulations, Harry!  That's why they call you the Working Man!

Goaltending services were provided courtesy of Nathaniel Li, who did a great job in net today, holding the Flyers off for his first win!

With Nathaniel minding the net, Thomas made an appearance at right wing, combining with center Zachary for five goals, including Thomas' first ever hat trick!  Xavier Fazzari proved that he is a scoring threat, notching his first goal of the season with 32 seconds remaining in the first period.  Mark, Tobin, Daniel , Andrew, Cole and Jack continued to attack the net and battle for the puck throughout the game.

Thanks for your support, Sabres Fans!  We'll see you next Sunday when we take on the Sharks!

Go Sabres!
