On Monday November 11, the Avalanche looked to extend their winning streak hosting the improved Stoney Creek Warriors at Morgan Firestone Arena. Dylan H. opened the scoring for the Avs with his third goal in the last two games just 4 minutes into the game. The score remained 1-0 in favour of the Avalanche until early in the second period when Greg L. went top shelf with a backhand from in close to increase the lead to 2-0. Read More

On Saturday afternoon the Avalanche welcomed the Centre Wellington Fusion to Morgan Firestone Arena. Coming off a strong victory in Stoney Creek the Avalanche hoped to continue their winning ways. Some excellent saves early in the game by Malcolm B. kept the game scoreless.  Read More

Mon Nov 7- On Monday evening the Avalanche faced their cross town rival the Stoney Creek Warriors looking to snap their two game losing streak. The Avalanche controlled the play from the opening faceoff and had numerous great chances to score but were unable to capitalize. Despite some fine saves by Ryan O., Stoney Creek would open the scoring late in the first period on a breakaway. The Avalanche continued to dominate the Warriors at both ends of the ice and significantly outshot the Warriors who were held without a shot on goal in the second period but the Avalanche still trailed 1-0 heading to the third period. Mon Nov 4 - Coming off a strong effort in Orangeville, the Avalanche faced a very determined and skilled team from Milton. Despite an early powerplay opportunity for the Avalanche, it was the Winterhawks who opened the scoring just 4 minutes into the game on a breakaway. Back to back penalties against the Avalanche led to another Milton goal this time on the powerplay as they increased their lead to 2-0 after 1 period of play. Read More

On Saturday November 2, the Avalanche made the long trip to Orangeville and it appeared that the Flyers might put this game away in the early going as the Avalanche took most of the first period to find their skating legs. But despite being hemmed in their own end for much of the first period, Greg L. would open the scoring with a determined effort with 1 minute remaining in the first period and the Avalanche carried a 1-0 lead into the second period. The Flyers got on the scoreboard in the second period but the Avalanche continued to play a solid game at both ends of the rink and the score was tied 1-1 after 2 periods. Read More
