Avalanche Let One Slip Away
In a rematch of last Saturday's game, the Avalanche hosted the Flamborough Sabres on Monday night at Morgan Firestone Arena. A quiet first period ended with no scoring and very few good scoring opportunities for either team.
The pace of play picked up in the second period and Ryan O. made a couple of big saves to keep the game scoreless heading to the third period. The Avs then take the lead on a shorthanded goal by Sandro C. with 5 minutes remaining in the third period. The team was unable to hold onto that lead as the Sabres tied the game just a minute later and then scored the eventual winner with three minutes left in the period. Final Score Ancaster 1 – Flamborough 2.
