Mon Nov 4 - Coming off a strong effort in Orangeville, the Avalanche faced a very determined and skilled team from Milton. Despite an early powerplay opportunity for the Avalanche, it was the Winterhawks who opened the scoring just 4 minutes into the game on a breakaway. Back to back penalties against the Avalanche led to another Milton goal this time on the powerplay as they increased their lead to 2-0 after 1 period of play.
Midway through the second period, Milton extended their lead on a rebound from just outside the crease. The Avalanche had some chances in the second period but were unable to find the back of the net and trailed 3-0 heading to the third period. Milton went ahead by 4 early in the third period before Campbell D. finally got the Avalanche on the scoreboard on the powerplay. Just 1 minute later the Winterhawks restored their 4 goal advantage. Aidan C. scored on a breakaway as the Avalanche tried hard to get back in the game but time would run out on their comeback attempt.
