Ancaster Minor Peewee AE Giving Back to the Community
Our Christmas community fundraising initiative was a HUGE success! And, this is thanks to all of you, your families, and our community. Through their fundraising efforts to sell Pro Oil Change gift certificates, which were donated by Bruce Gair, Owner of Ancaster’s Pro Oil Change, the Ancaster Minor Pee Wee AE hockey team were able to raise enough funds to sponsor a family through Ancaster Community Services (ACS).
Annually, ACS runs their Annual Christmas Outreach Program - Christmas Hamper Initiative, which is a program that supports local families with a selection of gifts, gift cards, food items, and basic necessities. The team started off with the intentions of fulfilling a few “wishes” on the family’s list, however through fundraising and various donations, the team was able to get everything on the list, plus so much more. The team presented their gifts to the ACS office on Monday, December 9. Members of the team, their families, as well as Bruce (Pro Oil Change) and Melanie (ACS office) were all there to share in this amazing event. Thanks for all involved for making this endeavour a wonderful success.
