3 Point Weekend
A busy two day weekend is over and the Blues proved to be the come back kids that we have been talking about all season.

In game one vs. a very strong Stars lineup and a very early 7am start, The Blues fell behind 2-0 at the end of the first period with 2 goals 1:15 min of each other by the Stars Daniel C.  The Blues started their comeback ways with Samuel and Michael scoring to bring the score to a 3-3 tie after 2 periods of play.  I was personally looking for the defibrillator machine in the 3rd period.  It was an exciting high paced affair that found the Blues down late in the period.  Luca Z. used his quick goalie reflexes to shut the door on the Stars offence and to help the COME BACK KIDS stay in the game. The comeback was complete when Michael scored his 4th of the game with just 6.7 seconds left to tie the game at 5-5.

The Second game vs. the Canadians was a close game was a close battle and scoring coming from 5 separate players.  The scoring opened with a goal by Michael assisted by Declan and Tristan.  Joshua M. scored the second goal of the 1st period assisted by Nathan and Tristan.   The 1st period ended with a slim 2-1 lead for the Blues.  Nathan scored a unassisted goal to open the second period with Jack W. closing the periods scoring with assists by Lucas L and Daniel R.   The period ended with the Blues leading 4-2.  Samuel had the lone unassisted goal in the third to finish the game with a 5-2 win.  Alex D. stepped in to play goalie and he proved to be the difference in the game.   The Canadian had many goal scoring opportunities but Alex kept his stick flat on the ice and played the position with great confidence.
