Great game today,
We had many different players scoring today because they followed the coached directions on passing the puck, keeping the puck moving and keeping their heads up. Great work out there and let’s have the same effort for the next 3 games.
If the kids want to practice any skills away from the rink, Hockey Canada has put together many training videos online. I will from time to time post some links for the kids to look at.
Click here - Hockey Canada - Puck Control to take you to a training video on how to develop better puck control. Some drills in this video are a bit advanced but anyone can try some of these moves with
a training puck in the driveway or garage. Since ice time is hard to get and driving to the rink is not always easy , one idea is to have the kids in full gear (skate guards on) in their garage and just use the training puck to master some moves.
