The team got off to a great start this weekend against the Penguins and managed to hold on for a 5-5 tie. With an early lead we let our foot of the gas and gave the Penguins some breathing room but our defense held them up in the third period and kept it close.
The 5000 puck challenge is showing it's form as many of our goals and shots are going top corner. Against a stand-up goalie on Sunday we had a hard time getting it by, so we will continue to work on breakaway moves to help break up the one-shot approach.
Our forward lines are really coming together and our core D have proven to find a good partner to work with game in and out.
