Thanks to all the players and parents who were able to make it out to our PA Day fun skate and after-party... I believe all of the kids had fun, and the only lesson learned was 'don't take the wings from the coaches plate... they're very, very HOT!!!'
While you wouldn't know it by looking at the weather, it is February, and we're down to our last two months of hockey this year. Please make sure to double check your schedules, as this month has a few weekday evening events, as opposed to weekends only...
We're on the ice every Friday (either 5pm or 7pm) just like normal, the rest of our Feb schedule looks like this:
- Tuesday Feb 9th - 7:45 game in Carlisle
- Wednesday Feb 24th - 5:00pm practice at Lawfield arena
- Saturday Feb 27th - 7:00pm game at Lawfield
We've managed to get a total of 3 additional ice times through February and March, the one mentioned above in bold is the only one at 5:00pm. Could each of you please bring a cheque for an additional $30 to cover these costs, as the extra ice time was not captured in the original team budget.
The goal for the team moving forward, is to keep our momentum going after last weekends game. As the players get more and more familiar with the system we're teaching them, they look better and better on the ice.
