Good afternoon Avalanche- Despite some challenging results at the Gretzky tournament recently, the coaching staff is extremely pleased with the collective development of the team this season and we're quite anxious to start the playoffs.
We will continue to strive for equal playing time for all players & goalies for the rest of the playoffs. Our line-up balance is quite a strength.
That being said, we wont hesitate to reward deserving players with extra shifts at the end of periods, games, powerplay & penalty kill etc as we advance in the playoffs. Our players should be ready for that eventuality and should be encouraged to cheer on their teammates and to be ready when called.
