Team Highlights
Good Day Everyone!!
As we start to prepare for the final few weekends of hockey, i realize that I've not posted any updates regarding our team members, summer hockey, some great improvements and the golden jersey awards...

I'll try to summarize a few of the highlights since we've returned from the Covid shutdown

First and foremost, the overall theme of the year is improvement.  Our players may have struggled to win a lot of games, but the improvements I've seen since the start of the year have been amazing.  Players who could not skate backwards at all, are able to do so... players who had never played before are starting to understand the game.  If we'd not lost those 7 weeks due to covid shutdown, I feel like we'd really see the players grow even further.

The focus over the next few weeks will hopefully be on having fun, and enjoying the game, regardless of winning or losing.  There will be (and likely already have been) emails going out from the PHL system for summer hockey.  These summer hockey sessions are a lot of fun, and allow time for your player to keep skating. I highly encourage you to join, if your player is interested.

Over the last few weeks, I've awarded the golden jerseys as follows (to the best of my recollection anyways)... and forgive me if I miss a few names, I lost all of my data from one of my laptop drives!

Jun Nam - for constantly working hard and playing a complete end to end game
Eddie Robinson - for not giving up on those crazy puck battles, even while sitting on his butt during play!
Rory McCarty - has won it a few times now, for his constant improvement and hard work
Will Clairmont - For making a successful transition to Defense, and playing the position extremely well

we still have a few games left to play, so I'm hoping all players work hard and we can become the cinderella story of the AMHL U11 league.

Thanks everyone, and we'll see you at the rink!
