The Final Weekend is Upon Us!
Good Day to you all,
As I'm sure you're all aware, the final weekend of the season is upon us. I'm looking forward to a weekend of fun... now that the pressure of the playoff bracket is out of the way, we can hopefully enjoy a few more hours of game-play, with some fun twists.
The focus of this year's program was to get everyone skating again, and to focus on improving your players' overall skillset. And while we didn't find ourselves on the winning side of the game-sheet too often, I am still very impressed with how the players have come along.
They all overcame a lot of obstacles... mainly due to the Covid shutdown... but in the end, we've notice amazing improvements across the board in skating, shooting and an overall understanding of the game itself.
As we look forward to this coming weekend, here are some things we can expect:
Saturday: Game at Noon - Vs The Flyers at Spring Valley
This is an exhibition game only, but all regular game-play rules apply. We will have refs and a timekeeper.
Sunday: Game at 9:00am - Vs the Flyers at MORGAN FIRESTONE ARENA
I've requested that we delete the refs for this game, the coach of the Flyers is on board as well.
We'll still play a game, but both Kevin and I will be on the ice instead of refs.. and we've got a few fun changes planned.
SUNDAY POST-GAME
after the game on Sunday, I'd ask the parents and players to stick around. We'll meet in the Lobby at Morgan Firestone and hand out some season-ending gifts for the kids.
