OMHA Recategorizes Ancaster to "A" Centre for 2017-2018 Season

At the OMHA AGM held on June 10th and 11th, the OMHA announced that a number of centres had been re-categorized with the changes to take effect for the 2017/18 season. As part of these changes, Ancaster was lowered to an A centre from a AA base category. This decision was made solely by the OMHA and the AMHL had no forewarning that a change would be made. Select Coach Application Deadline is July 31

The AMHL is accepting applications for the Head Coach position of our five Select teams - Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget (2001,2000,1999).Select tryouts for all teams will be held in September 2016. The deadline for applications is July 30th, 2016. Read more . . .


OMHA Referee School
If you are interested in becoming a referee with the AMHL this upcoming season, you should register for the OMHA Referee School being held in September.  These schools fill up quickly so register soon.  You must be 14 years of age to register. Click here for more information.
Major Atom AE's, Minor Peewee AE's and Major Peewee AE's Win Tri-County Championships

Congratulations to the Major Atom AE's, Minor Peewee AE's  and Major Peewee AE's on winning the Tri-County Championships. The Major Atom's beat Woolwich 3 games to 1,  the Minor Peewee's swept Flamborough in 3 games and the Major Peewee's beat Guelph 3 games to 0. Read more . . .


Novice Flyers Win Gold in Caledon

The Ancaster Novice Flyers came away with the gold medal at the 2016 Bill Whitbread Memorial tournament in Caledon.  Read more . . .


Novice Bruins Win City Playdowns

The Novice Bruins defeated Stoney Creek in the championship game of the City Playdowns on Saturday March 26. The Atom Canadiens reached the championship game and lost to Dundas. Read more . . .


Major Peewee AE's Win Gold in St. Catharines Tournament

The Major Peewee AE team finished with a perfect 6-0 record and came home Gold Medalists from the St. Catharine's Warrior Tournament- March 18-20th. Read more . . .


Minor Bantam AE's Win Silver in OMHA Finals

Barrie won game five by a score of 4-3 to win the OMHA championship on Saturday March 19 at Morgan Firestone. Congratulations to the Avalanche for reaching the OMHA finals for the third year in a row.
