The AMHL is
pleased to participate in the
5th Annual
Hockey for
Hunger Challenge in support of
the
Good Shepherd
Food Bank! This year,
the AMHL and AAGHA is challenging each player on all teams to donate one (or
more) non-perishable food item(s) per player per game between November 16th and
December 15th, 2012. All food
will be donated to the Hamilton Good Shepherd Food Bank before
Christmas.
Last year there was very close to 100% team participation, collecting over 4,000 cans of food and bringing the four-year donation total to well over 10,000 food items!! This year, we would like to encourage all teams to get involved and participate in a friendly competition for a worthy cause.
The team that collects the most food items will receive a teamm pizza party courtesy of Domino's Pizza in Ancaster, a power skating session with Kelly Reed Hockey & Power Skating, and all the kids will feel good about doing something nice for those less fortunate.
We will be collecting the donations of non-perishable food items before every game (or practice if you’re feeling extra generous!). Please make sure your donation gets to Rikki Gross before the drop-off date of December 16.
