Minor Atom A's Capture Silver in Stoney Creek
Submitted By AMHL on Thursday, November 16, 2017
The Minor Atom A team battled hard to bring home Silver in the 34th Annual AA Tournament Of Champions, in Stoney Creek Nov 9 - 12, 2017.  The boys won 2 of their 3 games in the round robin play, allowing only 2 goals and scoring an impressive 8.

During the Semi-Finals the boys faced the Buffalo Regals for the second time in the tournament. Ancaster was down 3 nothing with less than 7 minutes remaining in the third, they turned it up a gear and tied the game with less than a minute remaining in regulation time. This forced the teams into a 3 on 3 overtime and the Avalanche came out victorious.

The Avalanche played the undefeated Windsor Jr Spitfires in the finals on Sunday afternoon. The boys played hard with a back and forth game, but struggled to gain the go ahead goal in the third period...WHAT A GAME!

Congratulations to the Players and Coaching Staff, what an outstanding performance on the ice!
