Major Bantam AE Rep Options
Submitted By AMHL on Monday, May 07, 2018
We are exploring all available options to offer opportunities for our 2004 major Bantam AE players to have a team for the upcoming 2018/2019 Season.

While we are always subject to the number of available, interested, and “at-level” players – we are hopeful that choices will be available for our players.

If we do not have a big enough group of players to immediately select and roster an AE team at the 2004 birth year level, we could look at the possibility of re-starting tryouts in the Fall and seek to fill either an AE team, or possibly an MD team that could play in the upcoming season.

An MD team option could represent a scaled-down – not as extensive a schedule – option for non-contact rep hockey for our players.  Many aspects of the MD loop of teams in our area, and the structure of the season is not yet known, however postponing our final tryouts to the Fall would allow for many of these answers to be known.

Ultimately - the decision of which loop to play (AE or MD) and the structure of the team will be up to the parents and players who come out and commit to the season. Our number one priority as a league, and for these kids is to give them the opportunity to play the game they love at a level that challenges them!
