Minor Bantam AE Bottle Drive Raises $730
Submitted By AMHL on Wednesday, November 21, 2018
The Minor Bantam AE team raised $730 in their 2nd Annual Charity Bottle Drive on Saturday, Nov 4th 2018  to help local families experiencing difficult circumstances (such as job loss, illness etc) with concrete gestures & actions.

In conjunction with their parent volunteers, coaches & team manager, the players distributes flyers in advance and went door to door in four different neighborhoods in Ancaster to collect any empty bottles & cans.

All players were very humbled at the giving nature of their respective communities and were amazed to be able to collect a total of $730 that will be given to Mission Services Hamilton.  These funds will help families in need of food, hampers & basic necessities.  While this was opportunity to give back to the community that’s been very supportive of this group in past years, it’s clear that the players were deeply touched by the response they received.

A big thank you to all Ancaster neighbourhoods canvassed!  A good life lesson indeed & here’s hoping that the players continue their volunteer work for years to come.
