This weekend, March 7 & 8, marks Championship Weekend for the Ancaster Minor Hockey League. Included here are some important details to help you prepare for the weekend.

Weekend Schedules
The schedule which includes all teams from all divisions is available on the League Calendar. The matchups for Saturday are all set. For U9 and older, the Sunday matchups will be added to the Calendar soon after the results of the Saturday games.

Please be at the rink early to ensure you are ready for your scheduled time.
Medals & Awards - Sunday March 8
The schedule for the awards ceremonies is available on the website, along with the master schedule for the weekend
Championship Weekend Awards Schedule
Please arrive arrive at your scheduled time. If you arrive too early you may be asked to wait at the gym doors as volunteers will need time to clean up from the previous group.
CHIPS, U6/7, and U8
All Awards will be hosted in the gymnasium.
Please proceed to the awards at the designated time for your age group.
CHIPS, U6/7 and U8 will enjoy Timbits and refreshments while awards are being presented.
U9 through U15
Awards will commence approximately 15 minutes after the Championship game in your division in the gymnasium.
Players will enjoy Dominos pizza and refreshments while awards are being presented.
U18
The year end celebration will be at Boston Pizza, Ancaster on Sunday March 8 starting at 6:30pm
Team Awards and medals will be given at this time.
City Playdowns
The City Playdowns will once again be running this year. This is a great opportunity for the championship team in each of our divisions from U9 through U18 to compete against the house league champions from other hockey centres in the Hamilton area.
City Playdowns will take place from Sunday March 22 to Saturday March 28, 2025. The games are played throughout the week at various arenas in Hamilton. Coaches will have all the information required for your team to advance to the playdowns.
AMHL Equipment Return
A reminder to all coaches and trainers to return the goalie equipment, buckets, pucks, pylons and trainer kits from the league.
There will be a table set up in Morgan Firestone Arena to return them on Sunday after your team's final game.
Enjoy the Moment
A friendly reminder that the most important goal is to have fun and enjoy the game. This weekend is a celebration of the hard work, teamwork, and great sportsmanship shown by our players all season long.
We encourage players, parents, and coaches to keep the focus on fair play, respect, and creating a positive experience for everyone involved. Let’s finish the season by cheering loudly, supporting all players, and celebrating the spirit of the game together!
