The Avalanche came out firing , shut down the Knight’s big power forward, took a  4-0 lead into the third period and hung on for a 5-2 win. They faced the Waterloo Wolves in the championship who had shut out the London Junior Knights Green by a 2-0 score in the other semi-final.

In the championship game, the Avalanche carried the play for the first two periods but couldn’t beat the Wolves goalie. In the third period, the Avalanche exploded for 6 unanswered goals from six different players to capture the championship by a 6-0 score.
