Super Saturday a Big Success

Super Saturday on March 2 was a huge success with 35 house league teams playing on the two Morgan Firestone rinks all day with other special events and awards taking place throughout the day. Click Read More to see the game results.

The winners of the Gold Medal games advance to the City of Hamilton House League Championships March 24-30.

Come out Saturday March 2 for the biggest hockey day of the year- 35 house league teams will be playing, ALL teams will be receiving awards, donate old hockey jerseys and pennies for worthy causes, take a Dodge vehicle for a test drive and raise $10 for the AMHL, buy Bulldogs tickets for only $10 and take a spin on a bike at the National Cycling Centre at Morgan Firestone.

Thirty-five house league teams will be playing on Super Saturday at Morgan Firestone and Spring Valley Arena.

ALL teams, including those not playing on Super Saturday, will be receiving awards in the Rotary Centre Gym after the gold medal game in each division.

Donate Your Old Hockey Jerseys to Jersey's for Hope

Bring any old hockey jerseys that are gathering dust to Super Saturday and donate them to the Jersey's for Hope program. This program distributes the jersey's to needy people in other parts of the world. All jersey varieties (rep, house league, any size, any team, any league any country) are welcome! Smaller sizes (kids rather than adult) are preferred since most of the jersey's will be donated to children.

Dodge Test Drive Event - $10 Donated to AMHL for Every Test Drive
Dodge Caravan Kids is a major sponsor of Ancaster Minor Hockey and Johnston Chrysler Dodge Jeep Fiat Motors will be on location on Super Saturday showcasing and offering free test drives of their vehicles. For every test drive taken, Johnston Motors will donate $10 to Ancaster Minor Hockey.

  • Bring a toonie for the Stow & Go Challenge for a chance to win Caravan Kids Hockey bag. All proceeds go to Ancaster Minor Hockey.
  • Fill out a ballot for a chance to win your team a Laser Mania party.


Take a Spin with the National Cycling Centre Hamilton (NCCH)
In 2013 the NCCH – located at the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster, will be offering the opportunity for Hockey players to get the edge on their opponents by taking part in Spring / Summer dry land & conditioning training. Qualified Cycling Coaches will give you a great workout and ‘keep it real’, by having fun, challenging, and best of all giving you the edge on the competition when the hockey season arrives. Drop by on Super Saturday, take a bike for a spin and learn more about the Hockey Players Cycling Program.
