Minor Peewee AE's Win Gold in Brantford
The Minor Peewee AE Team did Ancaster hockey proud by winning the Wayne Gretzky International Hockey Tournament in Brantford on December 29, 2013.

The Avalanche battled through the tournament to an overall 5-0-1 record.  In the round robin they had a 5-3 win over the Hamilton Cyclones, 5-2 win over the West London Hawks, 3-1 win over the Richmond Hill Stars followed by a 2-2 tie with the Syracuse Blazers.

In the semi-final match, the Avalanche fought back with a late goal to tie the Hamilton Spitfires and then went on to win it in extended overtime, 3-2, playing 3 on 3 hockey.

In the championship game, the Avalanche were matched against the previously undefeated Waterloo Ice Wolves.  Playing aggressive two-way hockey, the Avalanche took control of the game and were victorious in the end winning 2-1.

Congratulations to the Minor Peewee AE Team and Coaching Staff for bringing home a Championship!
