Novice Selects Win Silver in Brantford
Submitted By AMHL on Monday, January 27, 2014
Ancaster Avalanche Novice Select took silver at the Brantford Tournament of Friends January 24-26th.

Scoring over the three days was led by Zachary Gratton, Bradley Hillman, Jessie Hay, Thomas Domangue, Callum Holt, Nick Lehman, Carter Susi, and Quinten Lisle.

The team got off to a slow start the first two games, taking a draw with Brantford 99ers and a loss against Kitchener Rangers. Next, Ancaster picked up strong wins against Dofasco Steelhawks and Chedoke Express which took them to the Sunday night final against Kitchener Rangers. The final game was spirited and hard fought, ending 3-2 for Kitchener.

"We are two for two when it comes to making tournament finals. I am happy with the way the kids competed this weekend. We played some really good competition and the kids did really well," says Head Coach Dan Lisle.
