Midget Selects Win Chedoke Tournament
Submitted By AMHL on Saturday, January 2, 2016
The Ancaster Midget Select Avalanche team entered the Chedoke Winter Classic Select tournament from Dec 28-30 and came away with the championship banner.

They opened the tournament with a 5-2 win over Garden City then followed that up with a disappointing 4-1 loss to Woodstock. The third game of the round-robin was do-or-die against the host team Chedoke which they were able to win 3-1, sending the hosts home. In the semis, they were up against Coronation, whom 2 weeks earlier had defeated Ancaster 3-1. The Selects came away with a 4-3 win to advance to the finals against Cooksville. It was a long tense game which ended with a 3-1 Avalanche win.

Congrats to all the players on a very well played tournament.
