Submitted By AMHL on Tuesday, January 05, 2016
Congratulations to the Ancaster Bruins for winning the Novice division championship in the Jerry Smith Memorial Tournament in Glanbrook held December 28-30, 2015.

The Bruins overcame a 2-0 deficit in their tourney opener on Dec 27th to beat the Glanbrook Predators 6-2. They defeated the West Lincoln Wrath in a close 3-0 contest later that afternoon, before rounding out the round robin with a 7-3 win over the Glanbrook Penguins the following day.

In the elimination round, a determined Bruins squad won a tight contest over the Glanbrook Blackhawks 3-1 to advance to the final. In a tense rematch, the Bruins and Glanbrook Predators battled hard for 3 tense periods, and in the end, the Bruins emerged with a 4-2 victory to win the tournament with an overall 23 goals for and only 8 goals against.

Congratulations on a solid team effort, and good luck with the rest of the season.
