Major Bantam AE's Win Niagara Early Bird Tournament
Submitted By AMHL on Tuesday, September 20, 2016
The Ancaster-Dundas Bantam AE team won the gold medal at the Niagara Early Bird Tournament September 16-18, 2016.

A storybook team is at it again !!

Despite being classified as an AE team, they entered this A tournament against some of the strongest A teams in the province.

Being led by their Head Coach (Robert Pace) and coaching staff they finished the tournament with an impressive 5-1 record including a hard fought 3-2 win in the finals over a very tough Welland team.  The boys came together very quickly and worked hard as a team the entire tournament and earned every victory !!

What makes this championship even more special is that months ago it appeared both the Ancaster AE and Dundas A teams were both going to fold.  Through the tireless efforts of the OMHA, Dundas Minor Hockey Board, and Ancaster Minor Hockey Board we were able to merge these two teams to ensure these boys played rep hockey this season.

Great start to the season boys !!
Coaching Staff, Parents and both Ancaster and Dundas are proud of you.....keep up the good work !!
