The plan is to run Select teams in the following age groups:

• U9
• U11
• U13
• U15
• U16
• U18

More teams could be added, or some teams cancelled depending on interest level, and availability of coaches and goalies.

Coach Selection Process

1. A Selection Committee, consisting of various board members, will review the applications and conduct interviews with the candidates.
2. Not all candidates will be contacted for an interview. If you have not been contacted within two weeks of the application deadline regarding an interview date, you will not be receiving an interview. This includes new & current coaches.
3. When rating candidates, the selection committee will consider a number of factors including but not limited to:
   1. Previous coaching experience at the Select level or higher.
   2. Performance in the interview.
   3. Length of time with the existing team.
   4. References and skill level rating of the coach's child relative to other players if the child is trying out for the team.
   5. Any prior issues with or suspensions of the coach.
   6. Feedback from parents who have played for or against the coach.

The Selection Committee will then make a recommendation of the best candidate for each team. These recommendations will be discussed and voted on at the Board level.

Applicants that the committee selects as the primary choice for a given team will be contacted by the committee after executive board approval and offered that team for the upcoming season.

Upon the applicant's acceptance of the team, non-successful applicants will be contacted immediately to notify them of the committee's decision.
