On the weekend of March 2 to 4, the Ancaster Minor Hockey League held our championship weekend, and the action was intense from start to finish. Kids ranging from 4 to 17 years old, gave it their all as they wrapped up the hockey season, and some competed for their coveted championship trophy.
The semifinal games were tightly contested, with some games ending in a shootout, which led to an exciting finish for all the young players.
The stage was set for some epic showdowns on Sunday. The young players were filled with nervous excitement, and the stands were packed with cheering parents and grandparents.
Teams gave it their all as they competed in Gold and Bronze medal games. There were more overtimes and shootouts, and plenty of smiles on kids faces.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in this season's Ancaster Minor Hockey League! It was an incredible year, and we're already looking forward to next season. The memories made, the friendships forged, and the skills developed will last a lifetime, both on and off the ice.
A huge thank you to all the coaches, volunteers, and families who supported our young players throughout the year. We couldn't do it without you, and we're grateful for your dedication and commitment to making this season a success.
