The Ancaster Avalanche are excited to announce the Family Day Jamboree of “Reduce the space, Increase the Pace” 2025!

This is a U7, U8 and U9 half ice Jamboree sanctioned event will take place on Monday February 17, 2025.

The 2025 event will be taking place the Mohawk Four Ice Centre in Hamilton Ontario.

The 2025 event will feature a U7, U8 and U9 division at the HL and LL level.

Open to all U7, U8 and U9 HL and LL teams and this one day event will feature 3 games in the half ice format.

Time: 8:00am – 5:00 pm (approx. time)

  • All teams will be guaranteed 3 games
  • Teams will play two periods of 22 minutes straight time hockey
  • All games will have OMHA certified Referees
  • All Teams will receive a Pizza lunch in the Lookout Lounge

Game and Tournament Format

  • All games will be played on half ice, 4v4 with goalies.
  • Teams will play a 44 minute game, 2 periods of 22 minutes.
  • Teams will play a total of 3– 44 minute games throughout the Jamboree
  • Team entry covers a roster of up to 12 players who will be split into Line A, B and C
  • Age appropriate nets and pucks will be used for this Jamboree
  • Enhanced game atmosphere to include a Food Drive for Neighbour to Neighbour
  • All participants are encouraged to bring one canned foo
  • All teams will be provide with a pizza lunch in the lookout Lounge
  • Teams from the OMHA, Alliance, GTHL, and NOHA are welcome
  • Team entry fee is $550 (HST included)

Refund Policy

The Ancaster Avalanche Minor Hockey Association will offer full refunds of fees paid for all tournaments that are cancelled due to COVID-19 related measures taken by federal, provincial, or municipal governments, public health units, Hockey Canada, the OHF and/or the OMHA. All refunds will be issued by cheque and made payable to the individual who paid the entry fee.

Non COVID-19 Related Team Withdrawals.

The Ancaster Avalanche Minor Hockey Association will offer partial refunds of fees paid to any team who withdraws within 30 days of the tournament start date.

Refunds will be issued based on Jamboree Committee replacing the withdrawing team with another team. Should the Jamboree Committee find a replacement team, the difference in Entry Fee charged to the replacement team (not to exceed 50%) will be deducted. Should the Jamboree Committee not be able to replace the withdrawing team, then the entire fee paid will be withheld.
