The Major Midget AA Avalanche defeated Brampton 4-3 to capture the Tri-County Championship on Saturday March 24, 2017.
The Avalanche took the championship series 3 games to 1.
In game 4 in Brampton, the Avalanche held a 3-1 lead going into the third period only to see Brampton tie it up with two unanswered goals. With the score tied 3-3, the Avalanche put the puck deep in Brampton's end and buried a back hand shot into the top right hand corner with 3.9 seconds left in regulation to capture the championship.
