update:
This afternoon's exhibition game was a great game again. :) The boys played fantastic, great effort and passing allowed us to come back from 1-0 to winning the game 4-1. I wanted to say that I was proud of the effort that the boys put forward. Unfortunately, this is the part of tryouts that I hate but I'm making finals cuts tonight. I really want to say thank you to everyone for the great effort that they put forward in the tryouts. For those who were released, keep working hard and there is another tryout for you guys with the AE team coming up. Keep playing the way you did for me and you will be great.... for the kids that have made the team, CONGRATS and I will see you Tuesday night for our first game together vs Glanbrook.
Today was a great intersquad game where I saw lots of great puck movement, intensity from the boys. I thought the goalies played great as well. As you can see we have made some more releases today. The players who haven't been released, you will be in the exhibition game this evening at 5pm at chedoke, UNLESS you have been contacted by me directly to know that you are not dressing for this game. Please arrive @4:15 pm (45 min prior to the game)
I just wanted to thank all players who have tried out for the team this season. Today we made our first round of releases and I wanted to say that the evaluators and myself are very impressed with the group of boys that are trying out this year. We have seen lots of talent and drive out there on the ice. The boys and the parents should be proud.
Unfortunately there are only 17 spots on the team and we have some tough decisions ahead of us. Thanks again and anyone who gets released, please remember that you still have an AE tryout coming up, so work hard, keep your head up and play smart! :) Best of luck
