Garden City early bird tournament......Early Bird tournaments are for working on team cohesion and figuring things out. One thing we learned is the boys know how to battle back this year. Down early in our first and last games the Av's battled back for two solid wins. Against a powerful Mississauga squad the Av's also battled back to tie it up going into the third, and scored a late one to make it close. The Av's have some solid Defence this year and some serious firepower up front, spread out across all three lines. With three early morning games the Av's started a little flat and fell short but our boys had a legitimate shot at making the finals in this tourney of solid AA teams. Some things to work on but a lot of positives to build on at this years Early Bird!!!
