THIS JUST IN.......
.....Avs caught sleeping but bounce back with weekend split......
The Avalanche rolled into Georgetown and got caught sleeping in the first period. Two goals against on the first shift and down 4-1 by the first buzzer. Ancaster did not fold, and battled back to dominate the second and third periods, badly out chancing the Raiders and controlling the play to pull within one. With the goalie pulled the Av's pushed the pace, swarming the net and just missing on several chances, but the comeback was denied. An exciting finish to the 4-3 loss.
The Avalanche finished with two strong periods and brought that momentum home.
Facing St. Kitts the following afternoon the Av's started strong and didn't look back. Ancaster pressured the Falcons at every turn, worked the breakout and moved the puck sharply while being responsible defensively. An almost perfect game for our Av's. Great job boys, Keep up the hard work!!!
