I ask a few things
please:
(1) Please try and have your son,
dressed & ready to play, by the time the Zamboni starts to flood the
ice.
(2) Lot’s of noise from the crowd
please (I know the Mom’s are always good for this). It may have been the time of
day that we played, but there was a lack of energy in the rink last week-end
(players & fans). Our guys need as much help as they can
get.
(3) If you can not make a game,
please provide me as much lead time as possible.
(4) For those who have asked or are
wondering: yes, we have scheduled games over the family week-end in
Feb.
I would like to “make some noise” in these Play-Off’s. I realize we will have to play our best, but we are fully capable of winning. The city championships are in late March, there is no reason why this Team can’t be representing Ancaster in the City Finals.
The message I will be giving the kid’s this week at practice: “If you think you can, or think can’t – your right either way.” They need to start believing in themselves.
Play-off format is below.
· Each team will play 5 round robin games.
· The top 4 teams after the round-robin will play in the semi’s (1 vs 4, 2 vs 3).
· 5th and 6th place teams will play a fun game before Super Saturday.
· Semi winners will play in the Championship game on Super Saturday, March 1.
· Semi losers will play in the Bronze medal game on Super Saturday.
The 5/6 fun game and semi-finals will be scheduled during the week between your final game on February 23 and Super Saturday on March 1
