Pre-Ottawa tournament practices
Phew! What an exciting end to our Orangeville trip last night! And while we didn’t always choose the smart play, all of the coaches liked the effort from all of our players! Parents & families will attest that we witnessed the save of the year (so far) by Matthew on a breakaway!
As we approach our Ottawa tournament next weekend, we will spend some time on offensive & defensive positional play over the next few practices. Specifically, the role of the F3 forward on defense (the high player in the offensive zone, which becomes the 1st back checker) & the role of F1 on offense.
Finally, the coaching staff is very pleased with the progress of the team year-to-date and the players have really embraced the game plan provided to them. They should be able to recite our keys to the game by heart now…!
