Major Atom A Avalanche Debut on the Right Skate
The Major Atom A began the season with a stellar performance at the Grimsby Early Bird Tournament (September 8-10, 2017), finishing with a semi-final appearance.
The Major Atom team opened the competition with a 4-0 shutout win against the Niagara Falls Flyers, dominating the game from puck drop to final whistle. The boys put up a good effort against host team Grimsby Kings, holding the lead until the last few minutes of the game, which ended in a tough, 4-3 loss. In quarter-final action on Saturday, the team came out strong again, taking the Dundas Blues by storm and winning 4-1. Semi-final play saw the team lose a 4-1 decision to the Grimsby Kings again.
