COMEBACK KIDS
What a comeback!
Once again The Blues showed they NEVER quit in a
game!
After being down 3-0 in the first period, Jordan B scored a much needed goal at the 2:56 mark of the 1st to put us on the board and finish the period down only 3 - 1.
Alex D found the net at the 3:30 of the 2nd period with a nice goal infront of the net, we found ourselves down 5-2 after 2 but the comeback kids grouped together for the third!
We all skated even harder to get 6 third period goals to tie the game up. After sitting out the first two periods because of a stomach ache, Michael K jumped on the bench to score two early third period goals at the 12:06 and 10:30 marks of the period. On the same shift 13 seconds later, Samuel M. Scored a quick tally at the 10:43 mark to bring us back in the game to make it 7-5 Jordan B. Scored his second goal of the game at the 8:05 mark with BIG JACK W adding another two minutes later to make it a close 8-7 contest. With 1:17 left in the game, Michael K scored his third of the game and completing the COMEBACK KID story with an 8-8 tie!! This was one of the most entertaining goal filled games I have been to this year!
Congratulations to Declan for keeping us in this high scoring match with his first ever start as goalie and making a game saving toe save with 2 minutes left in the game. Great job!!
Great job by each and every boy, the defence stayed back to make sure there were no rebounds and the offence kept constant pressure on the Blackhawks with great passing and heads up play. Lets keep the great work going for the next game!
Our goalie next weekend is Rocky, I mean Luca and we wish him luck!
