Chedoke WInter Classic - Day 1
Hello Everyone,
Thanks for a great start to the first tournament of the year. The coaching staff loved the way the kids pulled it together after a tough first game. The effort and enthusiasm was great, and we're hoping to see the same thing tomorrow morning in the elimination round.
We want to make special mention to some of our players who put forth a fantastic effort today...
William played an outstanding game between the posts, and truly was the difference between winning and losing that game... one of the most deserved MVP awards we've been able to give out this year.
Both Hayden and Andrew played extremely well, with a non-stop effort in skating, and going to the net. Brayden, for allowing us to move him from forward to defence without complaint, And finally, to Thomas, who has been a huge addition on defense, with some fantastic offensive rushes, allowing some great scoring opportunities.
We're hoping to see this enthusiasm and 'team-first' mentality carry through into our game tomorrow.
We are on the ice at 9am, Mohawk Quad Pad (blue rink) against the Rosedale Devils. From what we've seen, it looks like a very evenly matched pairing, so we want to make sure the kids are fired up and ready to play!
