Avalanche come out on Top
On Sunday, the Avalanche travelled to Hespeler for what turned out to be a penalty filled affair which ended with Ancaster on top with another win. The team dominated play in the first period and outshot Hespeler badly but the score remained 0-0, thanks to some hot goaltending in the Hespeler net.
Four minutes into the 2nd period Sandro C. continued his hot streak, converting a one-timer on a nice feed from Brandon B. A breakaway goal by the home team, followed by another quick marker had Hespeler ahead late in the second period when Ty C. scored on a breakaway to tie the score heading to the third period. The 3rd period begins just as the first two with numerous penalties and lots of good scoring chances for the Avalanche. With just 25 seconds left in the game Connor J. scored shorthanded to give the Avalanche a well deserved second victory of the season! Final score Ancaster 3-Hespeler 2.
