Malcolm B. Keys Avalanche Victory
The Avalanche travelled to Flamborough to take on the Sabres on Thanksgiving Weekend. A very evenly played first period ends with a late goal for Flamborough and has them up by a goal heading to the second period. Malcolm B. makes two huge saves early in the period on breakaways to keep the Avs close.
Moments later Sandro C. bangs in his own rebound to tie the score at 1-1. The teams continue to trade excellent scoring opportunities but both goalies stand tall to keep the game tied heading to the third period. Early in the third period, Brady H. playing his first game of the year with the Avalanche, jams in a rebound off a shot by Greg L. to put the Avs up 2-1. With 5 minutes left in the third, Noah D. pounces on a Sabres turnover just inside the blueline and pots the insurance marker as the Avs hold on to win. Final Score Ancaster 3- Flamborough 1.
